What is reiki?
Reiki (pronounced ray – key) is a gentle non-intrusive healing practice which is believed to strengthen the body’s ability to heal itself.
What will happen during a session?
The treatment involves sitting in a chair or lying down on a therapy couch.
We will then proceed with the reiki session as such. You will need to take your shoes off and make your way to a couch where you will lie, fully dressed, on your back or your front.
I will place my hands gently on or near your body in a series of non-intrusive positions.
How long will a session last?
I usually allow one hour (a little longer on your first visit) from the moment you come in to the moment you leave but the actual session lasts about fifty minutes.
How many treatments will I need?
This will be discussed at the end of your first treatment and will be totally led by you and your needs.
Can Reiki help me?
More and more people are using reiki as a therapeutic tool to bring relief to a wide range of acute and chronic conditions.
It is worth remembering however that you do not need to be unwell to benefit from a treatment. If you are well, keep well!
Most people who experience Reiki treatments report feeling calmer in themselves, more able to manage their symptoms and more able to cope with stressful situations and people.
